Acer takes advantage of IFA 2019 to deploy its new family of Chromebooks, the concept Pro series of laptops, the new Predator Triton for video game lovers and the new range of Acer Swift.
2 Chromebooks with large screens and another 2 of 11.6 ”
On the one hand, Acer launches two new laptops with large anti-glare screens for maximum productivity: Chromebook 315 with a 15.6-inch screen and Chromebook 314 of 14 inches, both with a maximum Full HD resolution, IPS technology and wide angles Of vision.
On the other hand, the company also launches two 11.6-inch compact Chromebooks for portable performance: Chromebook 311 and Chromebook Spin 311. The Spin model features a 360-degree convertible design plus its 11.6 HD touch screen inches The first weighs 1.06kg while the second 1.2kg.
The four models have two USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 ports, Intel Gigabit Wi-Fi and 5G Bluetooth technology. Acer Chromebook 315 can be configured with up to 128 GB of eMMC storage and up to 8 GB of dual-channel SDRAM. Chromebook 314 and Chromebook Spin 311 can be configured with up to 64 GB of eMMC storage and 8 GB of dual-channel SDRAM. Chromebook 311 offers up to 32GB of eMMC storage and 4GB of dual-channel SDRAM.
Regarding availability, all will be available from October in Spain and the prices are Chromebook 315 (329 euros), Chromebook 314 (299 euros), Chromebook Spin 311 (329 euros) and Chromebook 311 (249 euros).
Acer ConceptD Pro, for designers
This range improves its devices for professionals, content creators, and designers. The most affordable model, the concept 3 Pro adds the Intel Core i7 (9th Gen) processor and the NVIDIA Quadro T1000 specialized graphics, while its new screen obtains the PANTONE-Validated color resolution certificate.
On the other hand, the concept 5 Pro and 7 Pro models have screens between 15.6 and 17.3 inches, and they are also compatible with 4K resolutions. Respectively, they represent Quadro RTX 3000 and Quadro RTX 5000 graphics.
The flagship is the concept 9 Pro, equipped with an individually calibrated 17.3 IPS screen, the PANTONE certificate, compatible resolutions up to 4K, and 100% coverage of the RGB range. It stands out for adding the Quadro RTX 5000 with 16GB of GDDR6 memory. Therefore, it adds the Ezel Aero hinge and is the only model that includes a Wacom EMR stylus.
Prices vary from 1,199 euros of the simple concept 3 model; copy 5 goes from 1,999 euros to 2,599; the concept 7 Pro, 2,599 euros; and finally, ConceptD 9 Pro for about 5,499 euros. All will be available from September to December depending on the model.
Predator, created for gamers
First is the Acer Predator Triton 300, a 15.6-inch laptop with Full HD resolutions at 144 Hz. Triton 300 is equipped with an Intel Core I 7 (9th Gen) processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, 16 GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 memory and storage space of up to 2TB. It will be available from October in Spain for 1,299 euros.
Second, its Predator Triton 500 version features a display with refresh rates of up to 300 MHz, NVIDIA G-SYNC vertical synchronization and a response time of 3 ms. Inside, it houses an Intel i7 processor (9th Gen). It will be released for 2,699 euros from November in Spain.
Another of the novelties that the company has presented has been the new Acer Predator Throne Air, which is presented as a true throne. It is an immersive space that surrounds the user with its three monitor stands, an adjustable keyboard and mouse tray, and a footrest. It will be available during the last quarter of 2019 in Spain for 8,975 euros.
Acer Swift, lightness and portability
On the one hand, we find the ultralight Swift 3, which integrates a 14-inch Full HD IPS panel with a greater focus on lightness and design. Thus, it decreases to 1.19 kilograms and is 15.95 millimeters thick. Regarding its equipment, it uses Intel Core i7-1065G7 processors (Ice Lake of 10th Gen), 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, Thunderbolt 3 and Intel Wi-Fi 6 dual-wide.
On the other hand, the 14-inch Acer Swift 5 has been recognized as the lightest in its class since its creation, with a chassis that is made of magnesium, lithium, and aluminum. Thus, it weighs 990 grams and a thickness of only 14.95 mm. Inside, it houses an Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor (10th Gen) and a maximum of 512 GB of PCle Gen 3×4 SSD storage. It also has USB3.1 Type-C connector, Intel Wi-Fi 6 and Windows Hello.
Both models will be available starting this September with a base price of 599 euros for Swift 3 and 999 euros for Swift 5.
